All of our policies are in place for the safety and comfort of all of our guests; most importantly, make yourself at home during your stay.
We truly appreciate each and every reservation we receive and strive to make each Guest's entire experience as wonderful as possible. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions and concerns. Please point out any issues or complaints, as they occur, so we can try our best to correct them.
At Red Lantern Bed & Breakfast (RLB&B), we understand plans and weather conditions change, and injuries and illnesses happen. For these reasons, we highly recommend that Guests acquire travel insurance for their trip and reservation with us.
We strictly adhere to our Cancellation Policy.
All reservations require a 50% credit card deposit, at time of booking whether online, in person, or over the phone, and the remaining balance will be charged on check-in day.
Remaining invoice balances will be charged on check-in day. Please notify us ahead of time if you plan on paying with a card other than the one on file.
All cancellations and rescheduled reservations must be completed by RLB&B staff. Please contact us ASAP for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. RLB&B is willing to work with our Guests and be as flexible as possible.
If emailing, texting, or leaving a voicemail to request a cancellation, or for any other reason, please be aware you will get a response back from RLB&B promptly, usually within 24 hours, and receive a confirmation email when the cancellation process has started. If you DO NOT get a response back and/or a confirmation email from RLB&B, we probably have not received your message. Unfortunately, not all messages sent are always received on our end, for various reasons.

Any and all rescheduled reservations are subject to availability.
When rescheduling, room rates may be subject to change.
Any and all reservations changed more than 2 times may be charged a $25 processing fee, for each additional change. Changes include and are not limited to, rescheduled dates, number of guests, number of rooms on the reservation, name on reservation, and the room number.
Changes to a reservation can only be made by the Guest whose name and credit card are on the reservation.
Please read all Policies, Terms & Conditions, Checking In and Early or Late Arrivals, and room descriptions, in full, double check reservation dates and contact information, and contact us with any questions, before completing your reservations.
RLB&B tries our best to supply Guests with all the information needed, during the booking process, checking-in, and through the check-out process. All the information Guests need can be found on our website, and in the emails and text messages sent to Guests prior to check-in. Guests are responsible to read the emails and texts sent by RLB&B. Please reach out with any questions, through voicemail, text, or email. If you do not see any emails or texts, please check your Spam and/or Junk files first. If you still don't see them, contact us to resolve the issue. An email will be sent on the date the booking is placed, one the night before your reservation date, and an email and/or text message the morning of your reservation date. We understand cell service may be limited, especially on and around The GAP Trail, making sending and receiving emails and texts difficult.
A confirmation email containing tons of important information will be sent to the email address provided, after making a reservation. If you do not see this email, check your spam or junk folder. If you still do not receive this email, please let us know, ASAP. Other emails, containing important information regarding your reservation will be sent close to your reservation date. Please read the emails and contact us with any questions.
If traveling with other Guests, please share the emailed reservation information, our contact information, and our website with them, www.redlanternbandb.com.
Check-in is 3-5 PM. Check-out is 10 AM.
This is to ensure a wonderful stay for all of our Guests and to give staff time to prepare for each reservation.
Early or late arrivals and late departures must be prearranged with RLB&B and fees may apply. See the Early or Late Arrivals tab on our website.
We will be on property at your arranged arrival time, or within the 3 PM-5PM window, to check Guests in, give a quick tour of the property, go over any questions, and finalize some details of your stay.
RLB&B is a small family-owned business and not staffed 24/7, like a hotel. Staff may not always be on the property and may not always make it to the phone. We want to ensure we can give each guest our full attention, so please leave a voicemail, text, or email, with your questions and contact information and we promise to get back to you very quickly, usually within 24 hours. If you do not hear back from us promptly, we probably didn't get your message for various reasons. Please resend the message.
Breakfast service details will be discussed with Guests at check-in.
RLB&B is located in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, less than half a mile from the Great Allegheny Passage. Meyersdale is a Trail Town and is home to an active railway. RLB&B supplies noise canceling machines and ear plugs to help with the train noise, but Guests will hear trains during their stay in Meyersdale and at RLB&B.
RLB&B does not accommodate long term stays or overnight Guests not listed on the reservation.
RLB&B does NOT allow pets.
Outdoor roof-covered bicycle parking is available behind the B&B, with video surveillance. We have never had any issues with our outdoor bike parking area, but we suggest that Guests lock their bikes and bring their valuables inside.
Please let us know, prior to your check-in date, if you plan on having luggage service drop off your bags. Leave a voicemail, text, or email, informing us of luggage drop off, to ensure we are on site, to receive and secure your luggage.
An automatic fee will be charged to reservation invoices to replace all towels and linens used to clean bikes, gear, etc., that become stained and are not able to be reused. Ample rags, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and a bike wash station are all supplied on property and easily accessible to Guests. If a Guest is unaware of what rags to use, or if more cleaning supplies are needed, please ask a staff member, and we will do our best to accommodate these needs.
Fees may be charged for lost, broken, or damaged items, and damage to property. Cleaning fees may be charged for cleaning services over and above normal day to day cleaning.
Some important Cancellation Policy details and updates-
Any no call, no show, no correspondence reservations will be charged in full, on the day of the reservation check-in, with no exceptions.
Cancellations, for 1-2 rooms and/or for 1-2 nights, made 4 or more days prior to the check-in date, will be refunded the deposit, minus a $25 processing fee, per room/per night.
Cancellations, for 1-2 rooms and/or for 1-2 nights, made 3 or less days prior to the check-in date, the deposit will be kept in full. ** For cancellations made starting at 12:01 AM EDT on the day of check-in, Guests will be charged for the full reservation.**
Cancellations, for 3 or more rooms, and/or for 3 or more nights, canceled 15 days prior to the check-in date will be refunded the deposit minus a $25 processing fee, per room, per night.
Cancellations, for 3 or more rooms and/or for 3 or more nights, canceled 14 or less days prior to check-in, the deposit will be kept in full. ** For cancellations made starting at 12:01 AM EDT on the day of check-in, Guests will be charged for the full reservation.**

Full Cancellation and Terms & Conditions are also presented during the online booking process, in the booking confirmation email, and are available on site, during the check-in process.
